Seit einigen Monaten sind wir in Kontakt mit der Fregenet Foundation in Addis Abeba, Äthiopien, die sich um den Bau von Volksschulen für arme und benachteiligte Kinder in der Hauptstadt des Landes bemüht. Ein persönlicher Freund, Tafesse Woubshet, leitet diese Organisation und hat uns eingeladen, sein Team bei der Ermöglichung einer Grundschulausbildung für die am meist benachteiligten Kinder zu unterstützen.
Da uns eine ausgezeichnete Schulbildung und Betreuung für alle Kinder und Jugendliche sehr am Herzen liegt, haben wir diese Einladung sehr gerne angenommen und werden unsere nächste Benefizveranstaltung (siehe Benefizevents) der Fregenet Volksschule widmen.

Up-date Fregenet Volksschule in Addis
Dank der erfolgreichen Umsetzung des Schülerlaufes im Mai konnte my2cents den grössten Teil der Anschaffung von 185 Schuluniformen für die Fregenet Schule in Addis für das Schuljahr 2009/2010 mit $2950 finanzieren. Damit wurde ein wesentlicher Beitrag zum Schulbetrieb für die Schüler der Fregenet Volksschule geleistet. Im Namen der Schüler und Lehrpersonen bedankte sich Direktor Tafesse Woubshet im folgenden Schreiben bei my2cents.

Thank you very much for your generous contribution to support and cover the cost of uniform for The Fregenet Kidan Lehitsanat School in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. We are very pleased in your genuine efforts of collecting $3000 by organizing 500 students in Seefeld, Austria in your “students to students” running program to lend a hand for Ethiopian needy children.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the organizers of this event, the schools and all the students who participated in this noble cause. We the Board and the staff at the Fregenet Foundation sincerely appreciate your support.
